THE VERMONT CHRONICLE, Windsor, Feb. 19, 1845  The front page has nearly 3 columns taken up with: "A Discussion of the Subject of Slavery, to the Rev. Richard Fuller, D.D."
Inside includes: "Slavery" concerning an ad for a runaway slave girl; "The French Press on Slavery", and s small report noting: "A cargo of native Africans, numbering 178 souls, has arrived at Port of Spain in a British vessel from Sierra Leone & are apprenticed out to planters. This is a renewal of the African slave trade by the British Government, under the specious name of 'African immigration.' "
