DAILY EVENING NEWS, Portland, Oregon, Aug. 12, 1874  Not just an early newspaper from Oregon, but this newspaper seemingly had a brief life, Gregory noting issues were found frsom 1873-4. Gregory also notes that there are no American institutions holding issues, as the Bancroft Library deaccession all its holdings many years ago, and is from where this issue came.
