This Southern newspaper was published less than a year before the outbreak of the Civil War. The front page has: "Threatened Mob Law in Missouri" and a wealth of other news items throughout the 4 pages.
The front page also has a length letter headed: "The Championship - The 'Benecia Boy' has Addressed the following letter to the Times" which is signed in type by the famed boxer: John C. Heenan.
Four pages, some archival strengthening at the spine, bit of minor foxing, nice condition.
