The top of page 3 has an interesting article headed: "General Tom Thumb" which has a letter from Europe on his tour there, and is prefaced with: "This wonderfully small pattern of a man...returned a few weeks ago from a visit to Europe...".
The letter from London mentions in part: "...clever little protege takes his departure for Boston...He is accompanied by his protector, Mr. Barnum, and his parents..." with much on him and his tour. Then: "The General has achieved all his triumphs under the direction of P. T. Barnum, Esq., proprietor of the American Museum, New York, who first brought him before the public in America..." with more on him.
Four pages, nice condition.
