But the reports on the Mexican War continue in this issue with: "The Administration & the Army" "Late From Mexico" "From the Army at Vera Cruz" which includes a lengthy letter beginning: "The capture of this we'll-fortified city, the emporium of Mexican commerce...cannot fail to contribute powerfully to an early peace..." with much more.
Also within: "Santa Anna's Inaugural Address" "The Alvarado Expedition" "Gen. Taylor" & Arrivals from Vera Cruz".
