C., Jan. 22, 1839 The top of page 3 has an interesting report from "Congress" noting: "...a joint resolution was introduced by Mr. Tallmadge for the amendment of the Constitution...provides that the President shall be elected for one term of four years and be ineligible thereafter..." with other restrictive ideas.
