Also reporting from: "The Federal Congress".
There is much war reporting on the inside pages as well including the always-interesting editorial, this one headed: "Fresh Courage--Vigorous Action". Other items include: "Further Intelligence from Tennessee" "Death of Old Abe's Son" "Conduct of the War" "The Losses on Both Sides" "The Secretary of War" and there is even on page 2 a: "Proclamation by the President" signed in type: Jefferson Davis
