DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., June 16, 1849  Page 3 has half a column taken up with: "Expedition To the Great Salt Lake" which is very descriptive of their findings.
Page 3 also has a small article: "Capture Of A Slaver" noting the capture of the slave schooner Zenobia: "...with 500 slaves on board...Great suffering had been experienced by the unfortunate blacks...".
Four pages, very nice condition.
