DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington D.C., May 4, 1849 Page 2 has over 1 1/12 columns taken up with: "Annexation of Texas" - Letter from Sam. Houston to A. J. Donelson" signed by him in type: Sam. Houston.
Page 3 has: "From New Mexico" as well as a report from Iowa noting: "...the district which should have included the Mormon county of Pottawatamie...The Hawk-Eye further states that duplicates of the Mormon votes in Pottawatamie county have been preserved...".
Also on page 3: "California" which includes a great letter from the gold fields.
Four pages, very nice condition.
