COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, Nov. 7, 1798
* President John Adams
Near the middle of the front page is an address of the inhabitants of North Yarmouth, Maine, to the President concerning the dangers of eminent war with France (XYZ Affair), followed by his response signed in type: John Adams.
Page 2 has a letter to the President which mentions General Clark, followed by: "The President's Answer" to the officers of the 3rd Division of the Georgia militia, signed: John Adams.
Four pages, a few minor stains, very nice condition.
