1917 legalized lynchings ?...

Item # 681830 ·
EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, May 14, 1917

* Legalized lynchings - hangings by government ?
* World War I - WWI food shortages - robbers

The front page has a banner headline in red lettering: "ADVOCATE LAMP POST HANGINGS" with subhead. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Rare as such.
Complete with 16 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, a little irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
