DAILY MILWAUKEE NEWS, Wisconsin, April 28, 1865  Two-thirds of the first column is taken up with heads on the Civil War, beginning with reports on the capture & death of John Wilkes Booth.
They include: "Booth, The Assassin Shot by Col. Bakers's Force!" "Harrold, Booth's Companion, Captured!" "Booth's Body and Harrold Taken to Washington!" "Full Particulars of the Shooting of Booth and Capture Harrold!" "Arrest of the Physician who set Booth's Broken Leg!" "Description of Harrold and Where he is From!" and even more.
The related reports take half of the front page.
Complete in 8 pages, a printing flaw to the lower right corner of the front leaf only with minor loss, re-glued at the slightly irregular spine, otherwise nice condition.
