1899 Stratford, Connecticut trolley disaster...

Item # 680085 ·
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Aug. 7, 1899

* Peck's Mill Pond trolley disaster
* Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut

The top of the front page has a two column headline: "TWENTY-NINE KILLED, TWELVE BADLY INJURED" with subheads. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 8 pages, a few small library stamps within the masthead, a few small binding holes along the spine, generally very nice.
