The front page begins with: "An Act For the Admission of the State of Louisiana into the Union...", which formally happened on April 30, as noted at the end of the act: "Sec. 6. And be it further enacted that this act shall immense and be in force from and after the thirtieth day of April, 1812" which was signed in type by the President, James Madison, on April 8, 1812.
There are War of 1812 reporters as well with discussion concerning the loss of Detroit.
Four pages, nice condition.
