NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, DC, Oct. 30, 1851  Page 3 has: "The Treaty with the Prairie Indians" noting: "The Treaty was concluded and signed by the Commissioners and Indians on the 17th September. It guaranties to the latter the payment of $50,000 annually, in money or goods, for fifty years, upon their faithful compliance during that time with the terms of the treaty. The Indians are required to abstain from hostile depredations upon the whites, whether emigrants or otherwise, and to pay due regard to the advice and requirements of the United State Superintendent of Indian Affairs...".
The front page has: "Judge Nelsons' Charge" in which his opening charge contained pointed references to the Fugitive Slave Law. Page 2 includes: "The Lynch Law Executors in California".
