THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, May 27, 1910

* Barney Oldfield - pioneer automobile racer
* Early Indianapolis Motor Speedway racing

The front page has a one column heading: "OLDFIELD'S CAR GOING 80 MILES AN HOUR WRECKED" with subheads. (see) Text includes mention of the speedway being the only brick track in the World. The first Indianapolis 500 would take place the following year. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 10 pages, 2 small library stamps within the masthead, some small binding holes and minor wear along the spine, generally nice.
