Frederick Cook's North Pole controversy...

Item # 676656 ·
THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Nov. 30, 1910

* Frederick Cook & the North Pole controversy
* American explorer walks back his claim to fame ?

The top of the front page has a one column heading: "DR. COOK ADMITS UNCERTAINTY OF REACHING THE POLE" with subheads. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 10 pages, small library stamp within the masthead, some small binding holes along the spine, generally very nice.
