EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Aug. 23, 1911
* Theft of the Mona Lisa (1st report)
* Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting
* Vincenzo Peruggia - Italian museum worker
The top of page 2 has a one column heading: "THEFT OF GREAT PAINTING IS MYSTERY" with subhead. (see) Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper.
Complete with 10 pages, small library stamps within the masthead, irregular along the spine, generally very nice.
