NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Oct. 14, 1820  The front page has: "African Colonization" about establishing a colony of free blacks from the United States at Sherbro, Africa.
Over half a page is taken up with: "Exploring Expedition--N.W." being a fine & detailed account of an exploration of 4,000 miles, traveling from Detroit: "...to Michillimackinac...to south of St. Mary's where a treaty was concluded with the Chippewas...coasted the southern shore of Lake Superior to the Fond du Lac...to the Mississippi...to the Upper Red Cedar Lake...to Prairie du Chien..." and much more.
Sixteen pages, 6 by 9 1/2 inches very nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
