THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, March 4, 1783

  • American Revolutionary War ending

Page 4 contains a document confirming the cessation of hostilities among the European counties, and a note from Paris adds: "The King's decree concerning the terms of the cessation of hostilities at sea, dated the 4th of Feb. 1783. His Majesty having ratified on the 3rd of he present month the Preliminary articles of Peace, signed at Versailles on the 20th of Jan. last....which articles it is stipulated that a cessation of hostilities shall take place by sea according to the terms..." with more.
Eight pages, never bound nor trimmed, 9 by 12 inches,  nice condition.
