DETROIT TIMES, August 14, 1945
* World War II ends
* Japanese surrenders
The front page has one of the more dramatic announcements of the end of World War II with a banner headline: "JAPS ANNOUNCE" with a lead-in printed in red ink and: "SURRENDER!" in larger black ink. Also a large, lightly colored red "V" as a backdrop. (see) Very nice for display.
Fourteen pages, light toning along the central fold, a few tiny margin tears, generally very nice.
