EL PASO TIMES, Texas, April 27, 1901  The top of the ftpg. has nice two column heads on Tom "Black Jack" Ketchum: "BLACK JACK HANGD AT CLAYTON" "Notorious Outlaw in the ace of Death is Still Defiant" "He Makes A Full Statement" "Train Robber Writes a Letter Stating Men in Prison Are Innocent of Any Crime--He Asks to Have Preparations for His Death Hurried--Strange Requests Made by Him" which includes a letter signed by him: Thos. E. Ketchum.
Ketchum was a cowboy who later turned to a life of crime, ultimately being hanged for train robbery. In 1956 there was a Western film made about him: "Blackjack Ketchum, Desperado".
The ftpg. also has a report on the hanging of Toribio Huerta for murder: "Toribio Huerta Drops To Eternity" with mention of Pat Garrett.
Complete in 8 pages, some minor tears at margins, just slightly fragile, generally good condition.
