Pages 1 and 2 have an article concerning the death of John Jay with a biography of his life & accomplishments.
John Jay was an American diplomat, patriot, one of the founding fathers of the United States, signer of the Treaty of Paris of 1783, second governor of New York, and the first Chief Justice of the United States.
Also an article: "Slave Trade" which mentions the capture of ships containing 450 slaves, with much more. Also: "Pirates In A Fair Way" mentions: "...have at last caught some of the pirates...they will be hanged..." with other details. And near the back: "Creek Indians In Georgia" takes half a page.
Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 by 9 3/4 inches, very nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
