The entire front page is taken up with a lengthy discussion of a pamphlet titled: "Address to Edmund Burke on his late Letter relative to the Affairs of America." which carries over a bit to pg. 2.  An inside page is almost entirely taken up with an excellent & detailed account titled: "Extracts from A Voyage round the World in his Majesty's Sloop, the Resolution, commanded by Captain Cook, during the Years 1772, 3, 4, and 5 -- Description of the Inhabitants of Ea Oowhe, an Island in the South Sea, adjacent to Tonga Tabbo, or Tasman's Amsterdam Island.".
Yet another page has an item headed: "Extract of a Letter from an Officer who was on the Connecticut Expedition..." which notes: "In our late expedition we had 160 men killed, wounded & missing but the greatest part of them were slightly wounded...". A bkpg. item includes: "The examination of the American prisoners still goes on; they are brought on shore seven or eight at a time & the Justices examine them as to their names, place of birth, how long in America, how long in the service of the provincials...I suppose we have now near 500 prisoners on shore & a-float; if they increase on our hands we must sit up another prison...".
Eight pages, 8 1/2 by 11 inches, very nice condition.
