V-E Day is celebrated... One of the most displayable!
THE COLUMBUS CITIZEN, Ohio, May 8, 1945 Proclaimed in huge, red-inked letters on the ftpg. is: " VICTORY!" with wording above the masthead: " Official V-E Day Proclamation". Subheads include: "War Only Half Over--Truman" " European War Ends" & other related items. Also a large ftpg. photo of German soldiers surrendering to American troops. This 8 pg. "Extra" issue is seemingly complete in 8 pgs. Some wear at the central fold with some minor loss, some clean edge tears, otherwise rather nice.
