HARPER'S WEEKLY, New York, Nov. 26, 1859

* American painter Winslow Homer print
* re. John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry

Arguable the most desired print is the very nice full page by Winslow Homer: "Fall Games--The Apple Bee".
Other prints within include: 'En Route for Harper's Ferry' with just a brief bit of text; a half page: "The Royal Road to Learning - The Prince of Wales at Oxford"; a full page: "The Fall Games - The Elephant".
The back page has: "A Premature Movement" showing John Brown talking to a Black man.   This issue also has a serialized portion of "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens.
Complete in 16 pages, never-trimmed margins, a bit of foxing & minor margin wear, generally nice.
Categories: 1857-1860, Pre-Civil War

100% Authentic: Original printing, never a reproduction.
