FLORIDA SENTINEL, Tallahassee, Feb. 17, 1846
* Rare antebellum title
A very early newspaper from the capital of Florida, and with a nice engraving in the masthead. This newspaper is formatted much like most newspapers of the day, being complete in four pages with various local and national news reports in addition to many advertisements.
Page 3 includes: "Important from Washington" which begins: "The long agony is over! The Oregon notice resolutions have PASSED THE HOUSE! The vote was..." with more.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, some minor margin wear, generally nice.
