THE GLOCESTER JOURNAL, England, June 6, 1768 (currently spelled Gloucester) Page 2 has reports headed: "America" beginning: "Most of the merchants & importers of goods have already subscribed a voluntary engagement to each other that they will not sell on their own accounts or on commissions, nor buy or sell for any person whomsoever, any goods...which shall be shipped from Great Britain after the first day of October next until the act of Parliament imposing duties on paper, glass, etc. be repealed..." with more.
