The focus of the article is less on the charitable works of the noted Florence Nightingale but on whether she was Catholic or Protestant based on her actions in the field tending to the wounded from the Crimean War. The article is a letter defending the great work she does & noting the concern about her faith is nothing more than a needless distraction.
