The 'Know-Nothing' candidates endorsed...

Item # 659729 ·
THE EVANSVILLE DAILY JOURNAL, Indiana, March 20, 1856

* The endorsement of the "Know Nothing" candidates

An endorsement at the top of the first column on pg. 2 supports the "Know Nothing" candidates with: "For President, Millard Fillmore, Of New York. For Vice President, Andrew J. Donelson, Of Tennessee." Title appears just above the endorsement. Perhaps one of the few newspapers to support this famous third party.
Also present are a number of illustrated ads (a sewing machine, medicine, a corn planter, the Pennsylvania Railroad, and more), along with other news of the day.
Complete in 4 pages, a bit irregular at the spine with two small archival mends, otherwise good.
