Duck hunting... Solar eclipses...

HARPER'S MONTHLY, New York, November, 1874  This famous monthly periodical has on the front page the beginning of a 12 page article headed: "The Bahamas", which contains 14 small illustrations including one on the ftpg. showing a nice view of  Hopetown's Harbor, Abaco, From The Light House, plus illustrations of  the Government House, a Sponge Yard, Entrance To Port Nasau,  the Royal Victoria Hotel,  a view of Harbor Island, the Glass Windows and more.
Other illustrated articles include "Among The Waterfowl Of The West" (re: duck and other waterfowl hunting) and "Some Talks Of An Astronomer" (solar eclipse related).
Measures 9 1/4 by 6 1/4 inches, has 142 pages, disbound, has a slightly rough top margin, but is otherwise in very good condition.
