NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Aug. 8, 1818  Page 6 has: "General Jackson's Campaign" which lists the number of: "...The Indians inhabiting the country lying between Georgia & the Mississippi river..." totaling 11,000 warriors. It notes: "This force, if embodied and hostile, would e serious enemy to the United States...".
The bkpg. has: "A Proclamation" signed in type by the President: James Monroe, concerning duties on ships arriving in the U.S. Another item concerning ships arriving at Galveston, Texas: "....understood that two vessels had arrived at Galvestown with three or four hundred African slaves, all of which are intended for Louisiana & the state of Mississippi...".
Sixteen pages, 6 1/4 by 9 3/4 inches, foxing, otherwise in good condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
