SPACE AGE REPORT, Reseda, California, 1960  This is the vol. 1 number 1 issue of: "The Monthly report to the Classrooms of the Nation - A Bulletin Board Aid for Students & Teachers" as noted in the masthead. This was from the early period of the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the United States, which began in 1957 when the Soviets put the first satellite in space--shocking the American scientists. Space exploration became a strong focus of the early 1960's.
This issue focuses on the new "Tiros One" weather satellite, but also includes a chart of: "America's Satellites In Orbit" which notes what each has done.
I can find no information about this newsletter so I don't know if there was ever an issue #2. In broadside format (blank on the reverse), 8 1/2 by 14 inches, nice condition.
