1939 "Ham and Eggs" pension movement...
Item # 655818
·
CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUINE, Nov. 8, 1939
* Ham and Eggs movement
* Pension scheme losses
The front page has a nice banner headline: "BEAT 'HAM AND EGGS" PENSION" with subhead. Nice for display. The "ham and eggs" movement in 1938 was a misguided attempt to provide elderly Californians with a weekly pension.
Complete with all 42 pages, this is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for institutional holdings. In great condition as such, a few small binding holes at the spine.
