NILES' NATIONAL REGISTER, Baltimore, December 18, 1841  The back page of this issue features a quite lengthy report concerning the the "Mutiny Of Slaves" on the ship Creole, a rather infamous event in American history. In this report, it also states that the infamous Bowie knife was one of the instruments used in the killing of Mr. John Hewell, an owner of a portion of the slaves.
Other reports within this issue are from Cuba on slave vessels and of the Texian expedition to Santa Fe was captured by the Mexicans.
Complete 16 page, 8 3/4 by 12 inches, in nice condition.

As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
