SUPPLEMENT FOR THE YEAR 1789 of the "Gentleman's Magazine", London.  This is the supplementary issue issued at the end of the year, with much of the content taken up with: "Parliamentary Proceedings of the Lords and Commons". Of special interest is a letter datelined from New York headed: "American Passport from Dr. Franklin for Captain Cook" which includes a letter signed in type: B. Franklin (see images).
Included are the two full page plates called for. Complete in 62 pages, 5 1/2 by 9 inches, small masthead with an index at the top of the ftpg., otherwise in very good condition.
