For those who objected to the war...

Item # 650089 ·
THE CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR, New York, August, 1944  As the title suggests, this newspaper from the midst of World War II espoused non-participation by being a conscientious objector to war. The content throughout the 8 pages supports this theme. Among the ftpg. items: "NCCO Answers Draft Agency's Memo to FDR"; "200 COs, Refusing Rifle Drill, Narrowly Escape Court Martial"; "Urge Workers Protest Labor Conscription"; "Ex-4Es Rejected FOR Stays With Return to CPS Service Board"; and more.
An interesting title, rarely offered. Eight pages, 11 by 16 1/2 inches, very nice condition.
