THE SOUTH, New York, June 24, 1876  A curious newspaper calling itself "A Journal of Southern Progress" which focused on advocating the virtues of life in the South, & a publication: "...through which the people of the North & of other lands should become better acquainted with the South...".  The entire ftpg. is taken up with a nice print of: "Independence Hall" in this issue because of the Centennial Exhibition of this year.
Sixteen pages, never bound nor trimmed, nice condition.
