* 1st Governor of Kentucky
Inside has a: "Proclamation" for the: "Fellow Citizens of Kentucky!" which includes: "...that the British and Indians had besieged Fort Wayne & perhaps had taken it: That it was the object of the enemy to push on to Fort Harrison and Vincennes..." and ending with: "...I am persuaded...to give the world a new evidence of their love for their country & a determination...to rescue their fellow men from the murders and devastations of a cruel and barbarous enemy." signed in type: Isaac Shelby.
Also inside: "James Madison's War" "Hull's Campaign" "Governour Harrison" "Admiral Warren's Squadron", a letter from Plattsburgh, and more.
Eight pages, 11 by 14 inches, never bound nor trimmed, archival mend at the blank spine, good condition.
