THE DETROIT FREE PRESS, September 13, 1962

* John F. Kennedy JFK Rice University speech
* Race for space vs. Russia

* Going to the moon

The front page has a three column heading: "We Must Beat Reds To Moon--Kennedy" (see)
This was the famous speech in which he said: "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard" which is not stated in the article.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 48 pages, a few small library stamps with masthead, some tiny binding holes along the spine, otherwise very nice.
Category: The 20th Century

100% Authentic: Original printing, never a reproduction.
