February 03, 1787
PENNSYLVANIA PACKET & DAILY ADVERTISER, Philadelphia, Feb. 3, 1787  The top of page 2 has a letter describing Jesus Christ prefaced with: "A Description of the Person of Jesus, as it was found in an ancient manuscript, sent by Plubius Lutulus, president of Judea, to the Senate of Rome." which begins: "There lives at this time in Judea, a man of singular character, whose name is Jesus Christ. The Barbarians esteem him as a prophet, but his followers adore him as the immediate offspring of the immortal God..." with much more offering a detailed description of Him (see).
Also of interest is a lengthy letter signed by: Margaret Nicholson, who gained some notoriety at the time for her attempt to assassinate King George III [see our item 621266 for a period magazine with a print of this event].
Four pages, great condition.
