THE NEW YORK TIMES, June 2, 1942  Page 10 has one column headings: "British Reports Loss Of 8,000-Ton Cruiser" "Trinidad Had Convoyed Ships to Russia--Captain Is Rescued".  This is 1st report coverage on the Royal Navy cruiser HMS Trinidad disaster.
Also reported is "Doolittle Hails B-25" "Tells Inglewood Workers of Raid of Japan in Their Planes", where he addressed aircraft workers.
