Post Civil War school segregation...

Item # 613259 ·
THE MISSOURI REPUBLICAN, St. Louis, March 14, 1877

* School segregation
* Colored teachers

This uncommon Midwestern title has news of the day with many advertisements. Page 4 has an article headed: "Colored Teachers For Colored Schools" "A Memorial to the Board of Public Schools" This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 8 pages, nice condition.
Category: Post-Civil War
Price
$28
100% Authentic: Original printing, never a reproduction.
