Northfleet sinking disaster...

Item # 613031 ·
THE EVANSVILLE JOURNAL, Indiana, January 24, 1873

* British full rigged ship
* Northfleet sinking disaster

This uncommon Midwestern title has news of the day with many advertisements. The front page has an article headed: "Most Terrible Marine Disaster" "A Ship Cut to the Waters' Edge" "Over 350 Persons Believed To Be Lost" and more. (see)
This issue is not fragile as newsprint back then was made of cotton and linen rags, allowing them to remain very pliable and easy to handle. Complete in 4 pages, minor margin wear and creasing, good condition.
Category: Post-Civil War
Price
$28.00
