THE NEW YORK TIMES, Sept. 15, 1871  The front page has: "A Day Of Disaster - Terrible Explosion of Toy Torpedoes in This City - An Extraordinary Scene of Ruin & Devastation" "Death On the Rail" "Saratoga In Flames". Page 4 has a small bit: "The Women's Club in Washington is actively progressing in its work of reforming the city. The members are to build an institute for the purpose of teaching fallen women some useful occupation."
Eight pages, very nice condition.
