COLUMBIAN CENTINEL, Boston, July 25, 1798 Most of the first column of the front page is taken up with one of the "Alien & Sedition Acts", headed: "Laws Of The United States" "An Act concerning Aliens" which is signed in script type by the President: John Adams. This Act of Congress authorized the deportation of any aliens considered dangerous or treasonable.
Page two has a letter datelined at Mount Vernon and signed in script: Geo: Washington.
