PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, Feb. 7, 1862  Among the front page one column heads on the Civil War are: "War Against Treason!" "Gen. Lane's Expedition" "The Rebel Fleet In Motion" "The War In Missouri & Kentucky" "Rebel Cavalry Defeated In Kentucky" "The Attack On Ft. Henry" "Gen. Grant Returned to Paducah" and more. Also present under, "FURTHER FROM WASHINGTON," is the brief mention  that President Abraham Lincoln respited [delayed] Captain Nathaniel Gordon's death sentence by two weeks. 

Eight pages, nice condition.

Note: Captain Gordon had requested his sentence be commuted, but when Lincoln refused to do so, but rather, provided 2 weeks of respite, two weeks later Gordon back the first and only American to be tried, convicted, and hung for activities related to the slave trade.
