Item # 594180 ·
NEW YORK TRIBUNE, August 31, 1922

* Babe Ruth thrown out of game
* New York Yankees - Yanks

This 18 page newspaper a five column headline on page 10: "Yankees Take Close Contest From Senators, 5 to 4" with subheads that include: "Ruth's 28th Homer and Ward's Hitting Puve (sic) Way to Victory" and more with box scores.

1st report coverage on a regular season game in which Babe Ruth was thrown out of the game for arguing a 3rd strike called by the plate umpire (see photos). Nice to have in a NYC title.

This issue contains other news, sport, and advertisements of the day. It has light browning and some margin chipping, but it is otherwise in good condition. It should be handled with care.
