THE NEW YORK TIMES, December 23, 1864

* General William T. Sherman
* Hood vs. Thomas in Tennessee

This is a genuine Civil War newspaper from Abraham Lincoln's administration with one column headlines which include: "THE FAR WEST"; "Price's Unsuccessful Campaign in Missouri and Kansas"; "A Record of Rebel Pillage, Devastation and Murder"
"GEN. THOMAS' ARMY"; "HOOD ACROSS DUCK RIVER"
"The Rebel Army Hopelessly Demoralized"; and "Sherman's March" and more.

Complete in twelve pages. This issue is not fragile as newsprint from this era had high cotton/linen content allowing them to remain pliable and easy to handle. Nice condition.
