THE NEW YORK TIMES, New York, June 16, 1945  Page 15 of this issue features the report "Medals of Honor Presented to Four - Three Marines and a Soldier Are Decorated by Truman at White House Ceremony - One of Them a Jerseyite - First Lieut. Rauh, of Lindenwold, Took Grenade Blast to Save His Comrades". This report includes a photo of the four men, Major Everett P Poe; Pfc. Gino J Merli; Pfc. Luther Skaggs Jr. and Lieut Carlton R.
